Photography
Okay I'm still very much in training, my brother Fran Veale is a professional media photographer and is training me up. Most of the shots you will see here are just random shots taken while traveling. While not all are technically perfect, all of them are nice photos in their own right. I will be expanding this section of my site in the coming months so check back again soon.

Laughing horse, Inis Mor, Aran Islands
Cycling around Aran Islands circa 2000 I stopped at this horse to take a pic. He was staying quite still so I had to tickle his armpits to get a reaction!

Cyphotilapia Frontosa - Burundi
The boss in my aquarium. Nearly 8 inches long at the moment. Aquarium photography is quite difficult an takes a lot of patience and practice. Here is a good guide to aquarium photography.

Portrait of a Nun - Angkor Wat, Cambodia 2004
Just as the sun was coming down over one of the temples in the complex known as Ankor, a resident Nun (I think) was standing in the doorway of a crumbling temple when I snapped this pic. Slide film gives such a nice colour reproduction as I hope I've captured with this scan.

Fisherman's feet
Another nice slide photo and again another story. While we were visiting another island in Thailand in 2004, our outboard motor broke down forcing us to hitch a lift from the next passer by. This fisherman kindly allowed us on board to sit among his spoils. I love the colours in this shot.

Let sleeping dogs lie
Or sneak up to a sleeping dog hoping he doesnt wake in the middle of a dream about chasing cats to start attacking you .. and take a photo then back off quietly... meaoow! ![]()
Dee's feet
Just before going to Thailand I bought a Canon underwater camera. I like this semi underwater pic of my girlfriend's feet. After getting back on the fisherman's boat (above) we arrived at our destination of Koh Nang Yuan when I took this pic. Wow, that was a nice day!
more photos coming soon.
